T-1 (also T-2, T-3)
- Commercial connections to the Internet. T-1 connections offer approximately 25
times the bandwidth of 56.6 Kps telephone modems.
Tag
- A code within a data structure that gives instructions for formatting or other
actions. HTML documents are set up using HTML tags, which serve various
functions, such as controlling the styling of text and placement of graphic
elements and providing links to interactive programs and scripts. RealCart uses square tags.
Templates
- RealCart uses HTML templates as master documents to build all of your product, department and associated storefront pages. Templates make it possible for the unlimited customization of RealCart.
Template Folder
- The folder where RealCart stores its templates. In a default installation the template folder is located at C:\Program Files\ RealCart.com\ RealCart\Templates. See also: common folder.
Template Folder Link
- The Template Folder Link is viewable just above your store and just below the RealCart Tool bars after clicking the view cart button. Clicking this link will open your current theme folder.
Terminal
- An end-use device (usually with display monitor and keyboard) with little or no
software of its own that relies on a mainframe or another computer (such as a PC
server) for its intelligence. A variation of this kind of terminal is
being revived in the idea of the thin client or network computer. The term is
sometimes used to mean any personal computer or user workstation that is hooked
up to a network.
Test Theme
- This is a copy of your current theme renamed to Test Theme. We use this theme as a testing environment in RealCart University so you can feel free to play with customizing your templates without the possibility of adversely affecting your real, working store.

- This is the page in RealCart that gets displayed if you use one of the FREE form mailers that comes with RealCart as well as with the PayPal checkout method. The page is displayed after the order is placed thanking the web shopper for their order and displaying contact info for the shoppers convenience.
Themes
- Themes are a collection of matching templates.
Thumbnail
- Thumbnail is a term used by graphic designers and photographers for a small image representation of a larger image, usually intended to make it easier and faster to look at or manage a group of larger images. For example, software that lets you manage a number of images often provides a miniaturized version of each image so that you dont have to remember the file name of each image. A thumbnail is also used to mean a small and approximate version of an image or a brochure layout as a preliminary design step. Adobes Acrobat viewer lets you show a sequence of thumbnails of viewable pages as a way to navigate among the pages in a document. Adobes Photoshop lets you view a thumbnail version of certain kinds of images.
Ticket Size
- The monetary value of an order placed by credit card.
Thin client
- A simple client program (not required to know how to interpret and display objects
much more complex than menus and plain text ) or hardware device that relies on most
of the function of the system being in the server.
Transaction Fee
- A charge for each credit card transaction, collected by the MAP (merchant account
provider) or ISO. Transaction fees usually fall between $0.20 and $1 (U.S.).
Turnkey Application
- Software that requires little or no modification when inserted into a Web site. In
e-commerce, many MAPs (merchant account providers) and ISOs offer turnkey
applications for processing credit card orders online.
